Singapore Music Festival

what a day, if it's for sham, it should be "what a set up!"
woke up extra early this morning, went for a 8:30am service instead of the usual 10:30am one...it's pretty unusal for some of my colleagues to see me at church that early. i was rather trigger happy today, i thought. b4 i met up with Sham, already started shooting my way around.using an Olympus OM-1 with a tele-lens. seeing things nearer.....
headed down to Fort Canning, show kicked off at ard 12:30pm with the MC saying over the mic to 30 miserable crowd scattered all over.....

today, the Singapore Music Festival is allowing our local bands to show off their talents whereby they seldom have such a big stage to play at.....

well, nothing much i could really comment on it. apart from the Production crew wasn't really giving much help to the bands....given the fact that they could have worked the past few days setting things up in the sun and rain and stuff, the soundman is totally beaten flat....they still didn't do a good job.....but i should stop here......maybe that's why i didn't get into a production house such as these people. bottom line is, there isn't a good FOH mix for the whole event.
when it was Plain Sunset's turn to play, i walked up to the FOH engineer and he threw the whole board to me in an "abandon ship" manner....if i haven been gracious enough, i would probably gave him my share of what it takes to be a FOH sound engineer........geez, i took over the board, not knowing how things are patched and i must say, the drum mix is bad.....gee..alrite, i can go on forever......
at this point, i need to apologise to Joseph of Marchtwelve for leaving an ugly comment out of something i have misheard......

i mean, even if what i heard was true, i should have been more sensitive......my bad.
having said that, the rest of the day was a movie with the rest of the guys and supper with dee and sea, and here i am......now, next thing......bed.......laterz......
