SXSW MUSIC DAY 3

i'm beginning to feel so tired. like waking up is horrible to me now. and the weekend is here. like most of the venues with huge acts are so hard to get in, either they are too small or just too packed.

but i'm glad i caught broken social scene again yesterday. and also Trashcan Sinatra and also this band called Polyphony Spree. inbetween that also managed to catch this band from Denton called Midlake.

but i just wanna talk a little bit about Polyphony Spree.... it's this huge outfit consisting of up to 24 members i think.... crazy, there's like made up of, a band (with the guitars, drums, bass and keyboardist) + a full horn section + percussionist + a violinist + a harpist + 6 piece choir + weu_weu (theramin player).....
sounds a little dodgy tho. they were known to wear like this white robe and all.... like some cult... ahhaha.... the singer addresses the audience "humans".... to add on to the dodginess.... instead of white... they were wearing like different colour robes this time... pretty much like flower power - hippie type blue, green, red, purple, yellow.... u get what i mean.... but they put up a very good show i must say.... like with all the instrumentation, they just sounded so full.....
well, apart from bands, i did what most of the guys here did, watch NCAA basketball tournament at some bar.... it's another crazy thing ppl do here.. apart from SXSW... haha... imagine a bar with big huge plasma TVs side by side (ala NASA control room), screening like 3 concurrent games at a go..... totally freaky......

this goes out to my brother-in-law..... he's married finally! just wanna wish him and his wifey all the best... CONGRATS BRO! woohoo.... so happy for them....
